Program Description:
“Football Fever” is a simple and fun contest for subscribers and single copy readers. Every week during the contest, eligible participants try to pick the winning teams (prior to the games) in that week’s NFL match-ups.

There are 13 to 16 football games every week during the 2011/2012 NFL season. Participants first register on this contest website created by DTS. Then, they select which teams they think will win in that week’s NFL match-ups. Those who correctly select specified numbers of winning teams earn weekly rewards. Weekly winners also qualify for up to three end-of-contest drawings. Special thanks to Dennis Schafer for this football idea.

Program Overview:
Newspaper readers who register on a specially-created contest website to participate in "Football Fever" try to select the winning teams in that week’s NFL match-ups.

Weekly, winners are notified via e-mail of what they’ve won and how to redeem their rewards. The weekly rewards are discounts and coupons from our existing partners/sponsors and prizes provided by new sponsors as well.

Registration is simple and fast. Eligible participants must complete an electronic form on the contest website with: participant’s full name, ZIP code, valid e-mail, phone number, newspaper subscriber ("yes" or "no") and the participant’s team name (selected by the participant). All guidelines and rules must be agreed to at registration.

Weekly Rewards:
Weekly, there are different levels of rewards a participant may win. The higher the number of actual winning teams one picks, the higher the perceived value of the reward
"Pick 11+" ------ Winner’s name posted on site as a reward winner
"Pick 8-10" ------ Winner’s name posted on site as a reward winner
"Pick 5-7" ------ Winner’s name posted on site as a reward winner

End-of-Contest Rewards Drawings:
At the end of the season, there will be a final contest drawing with weekly qualifiers qualified to win at up to three prize levels. EXAMPLE: If John selects at least 11 winners during a contest week, he earns one ticket for the “11+ Drawing.” If John also selects at least 8 to 10 winners for another contest week, he earns a second ticket, this one for the “8-10 Drawing.” Finally, if John also selects at least 5 to 7 winners for another contest week, he earns a third ticket, this one for the “5-7 Drawing.” Five different drawing winners from each of the three levels will be randomly selected. A weekly qualifier may win once in each of the three drawings, but not more than once in any one of the three drawings. Contest drawing rewards need to be determined.
